STOUH Associate Professor Natalia Bogatyryova Presents at Russian Book Days in Belarus

image62OXL3LEOn September 7-8, 2019, Natalia Iurievna Bogatyryova, Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Methodology of Primary Education of the Faculty of Education (Faculty of Teacher Training) of Saint Tikhon's Orthodox University of the Humanities (STOUH), took part in the Russian Federation Children's and Youth Book Days in the Republic of Belarus. The event was aimed at popularizing the Russian language and the literature and culture of Russia, and also at strengthening Russo-Belorussian ties in the humanities.

As a member of the jury for the International Sergei Mikhalkov Literary Contest and an expert in the field of children's and youth literature, Natalia Boatyryova gave a talk at a roundtable on current issues and prospects for development in contemporary children's literature, which took place in the Yanka Kupala Central Library. 

In her talk, Professor Bogatyryova gave special emphasis to the fact that students from the Faculty of Education are often acquainted with new works of children's literature and write pieces of coursework and Bachelor's theses on the methodology of teaching contemporary children's literature in primary schools.
