Leader of STOUH's Center for Spiritual Education Attends Russia Week in Kazakhstan

image22222On October 12, 2019, Archpriest Lev Semenov, head of the Center for Spiritual Education at Saint Tikhon's Orthodox University of the Humanities (STOUH), gave a talk at an interconfessional academic conference on “Traditional Religions for Peace and Harmony Among Peoples”, which took place under the aegis of the Temporary Administrator of the Metropolitan Precinct of the Russian Orthodox Church in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the conference was Archpriest Lev Semenov, the head of STOUH's Center for Spiritual Education and Associate Professor of Theology at Moscow State University. He gave a talk on “Interreligious Cooperation as an Important Factor for Strengthening International Peace”. Fr. Lev shed light, among other things, on the positive experience acquired over the years by the “STOUH-Serbia”, “STOUH-Greece, Cyprus”, and “STOUH-Georgia” clubs, as well as by the Committee for Cooperation with Religious Organizations of the Assembly of the Peoples of Russia, the Committee for Harmonization of International and Interreligious Relations of the Council of the President of the Russian Federation for Cooperation with Religious Organizations, the Interreligious Council of Russia, the Russian Association for the Defense of Religious Freedom, and a range of other structures.

At the end of the conference, there was a screening of the film “The Way of a Pastor” by Metropolitan of Volokalamsk, about His Holi.
